Welcome to Villa Iliou
Once Loïc & Van Anh fell in love with the rice fields and life around Heron House, it was almost inevitable that they would want to build their own new dream villa from the ground up and after 2 years of planning, 1 pandemic, and the arrival of 1 super blond big boy at home, Villa Iliou was born and opened its doors in 2021. With 3 lavish bedrooms and 1 studio apartment in our basement this place is great for families and friends of 8 people that just want to stretch out and relax. The design was built to capture the wind to cool us down on hot summer days by utilizing old colonial building techniques…and when we need even more support… then our 3 meter by 10 meter pool is fairly helpful too.
Villa Iliou, directly translated in Greek as ‘Villa of the Sun’ is a reflection of both Loïc & Van Anh’s personalities and background traveling around the world together. At its heart is a special architecture best characterized as modern Indochinese colonial design, but with its chic custom made furniture, light colour schemes, and soft personal touches, it is hard to give just one reason why our guests love Villa Iliou. Whether it is the massive chef’s table facing outdoors, the soft feel of Sunday in Hoi An’s crazy comfortable silk and bamboo bed linens, the light airy spaces to stretch out with a book, or just the epic sunset views while enjoying a good bottle of wine, all our guests agree there is just something indescribably special about our villa.
If the fully kitted out kitchen was not enough and the views were minimal one day due to a misplaced cloud, we also added a sweet wine room (/man cave), a full steam room, rain forest showers, laundry room, infinity swing, multiple wine fridges, and just oh so many many goodies to make your holidays just that much sweeter.
