How We Help

As Vietnam continues to grow we wish to be mindful of those souls that might be vulnerable and at risk.  As such our team pools all its tips each month and the owners match 50% of all tips given to donate to some of our favourite local charities.  We also like to do fundraising events and charity work regularly with each of these groups and for our guests who are looking to contribute, please find more information on our partners and how you can help them on your own:

Blue Dragon

For over 20 years, Blue Dragon has been a leading agency in Vietnam’s fight against human trafficking. Their interventions center on rescuing victims from places of slavery, street outreach to homeless children, microcredit schemes to help families start farms and businesses, building houses and community infrastructure; and establishing long-term systems to keep people safe from trafficking. In 2018 Blue Dragon reached the milestone of reuniting 500 homeless children with their families and by 2020, they completed the 1,000th rescue of a victim of human trafficking. Want to learn more?  Check out their work here and together we can put an end to slavery and help Vietnam grow into the future.

CHIA

Where many families are barely surviving on less than three dollars per day in our corner of Vietnam, the work of CHIA, a locally based NGO, is crucial for helping the most vulnerable kids who suffer from mental and physical disabilities,  extreme poverty, or the lasting effects of Agent Orange in the country.    Today, CHIA supports over 500 children in the Quang Nam Province and is expanding to reach more disadvantaged children from rural areas, who are otherwise unable to attend school or dont have access to good nutrition due to their families’ difficult social and financial situations.   Want to stop by and volunteer, play with the kids, or just drop off some gitts? Then no worries at all and we can also arrange for guests to drop in and visit the great folks at CHIA at 460 Cua Dai Street, Hoi An city. They are open 8am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm, Monday – Friday.

PAWS for Compassion

PAWS is a veterinary and rescue group that rehabilitates animals at their cat and dog shelters, providing a safe place for them to recover until they’re ready to find their forever homes. They educate the local community on the importance of animal welfare. Working with the animal healthcare industry, their aim is to tackle the issue of overpopulation and animal health including spaying and neutering, vaccination, and improving the quality of veterinary care. Their biggest challenge and heartbreak is the cruelty of the cat and dog meat trade, which we continue to work hard to educate on and combat wherever possible. Our pet concierge Romelu is a proud though reluctant visitor himself and guests can always adopt a furry friend to bring home if they wish!
