Your Hosts
Your hosts are in many ways a reflection of the uniqueness of the houses. Van Anh is a native Hanoian with a passion for interior design, live music and traveling. Loïc - a Belgian American - who loves cooking and hosting, road trips, music and returning to Greece as often as possible to get back to the island lifestyle of his childhood summers. They met at a wedding in the south of France where he just so happened to meet Van Anh while she was cooking just over a thousand spring rolls for the guests of her cousin’s wedding. Three months later, he left the Netherlands to join her in Vietnam. They got engaged in Crete, got married in Naxos (in true Cycladic style), pursued a masters in hospitality in Europe together. And now, after 10 years in Hoi An with 3 villas and multiple side businesses, they are happy to share their insider knowledge to help guests discover the best of this charming town.
Perhaps due to their diverse backgrounds and shared love of traveling, food, people, and international hospitality, they wished for Heron House & Villa Iliou & Jasmine Garden to be a reflection of their personalities and ultimately a place where their guests can feel right at home. These days, Loïc is often at the villa to welcome guests and you can always pop by Van Anh’s cafe Moments (47 Le Loi) or her lifestyle shop SUNDAY in Hoi An (184 Tran Phu) to say hi!

Our Story
While we respect your privacy when you are staying with us, we and our team are always available to offer personalized recommendations and prompt assistance, whether it is suggesting hidden local gems, crafting special cocktails or preparing special meals for special occasions to ensure a seamless and memorable stay for you.
Our favorite part of running our villas is connecting with our guests - hearing their stories, sharing our own and creating meaningful moments together. Over the years, we have formed lifelong friendships and some of these bonds have even taken us beyond Hoi An, as we have visited our guests in their home countries, continuing the friendships that started in our villas. These precious connections in this day and age is what makes what we do so special and worthwhile.

Our Team
Romelu (AKA Big Rom) has been our pet concierge since his arrival from the Ardennes, Belgium. He often accompanies his father Loïc for guest check ins and BBQs in particular where he loves the attention and treats.

.....As an anarchist dachshund, he does not do tricks or tongue baths, but he is always ready to introduce himself to guests, make himself comfortable on the couch, beg, or be taken on walks around the neighbourhood.
